Latha Mathavan Engineering College (LMEC), Madurai is run by Karuppiah Pillai Theivanai Ammal Educational Trust. College is affiliated to Anna University.The main vision of the college is to develop eminent and ethical engineers in society by imparting quality technical education with emphasis on discipline, human values and holistic excellence. College had obtained ISO 9001-2008 by going through the proper surveillance audit conducted by TUV, German in 2012. All departments are well equipped along with experienced staff's for the proper teaching learning process.

Apart from having the circuit branches, college has obtained AICTE approval to conduct Mechanical and Civil branches.  The goal of the college is to provide state of the art facilities for quality Engineering education and impart value based, quality professional training to young men and women.

Having reached greater heights through their educational service, in the Latha Mathavan Polytechnic College which was established in 1996, Latha Mathavan Engineering College in 2007 and Latha Mathavan Matriculation School in 2009, Now Latha Mathavan group of institutions have wisely initiated this Latha Mathavan Info Tech {LMIT} with a broad scope of placement activities for all qualified technical graduates. All these educational institutions are run under the roof of Karuppiah Pillai Theivanaiammal Educational trust which was established in the year 1995.
