Vemana Institute of Technology was founded in 1999 .Karnataka Reddyjana Sangha, one of the pioneers in the field of Education guided by a well-known Educationist Sri. H.T. Somashekara Reddy.Vemana Institute of Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) and is sanctioned by the government of Karnataka.It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Vemana IT is located in the heart of Bangalore city and has a well laid out campus and infrastructure with excellent facilities to pursue research and P.G. courses. The Institution is located in Koramangala, Bangalore, and the silicon valley of India. Being located in the heart of city, it is well connected by good transport network. It is only 8 km each from city Railway station and cantonment Railway stations and 6 km away from Bangalore Airport.
In a span of thirteen years, VIT has grown by leaps and bounds and has established all the infrastructure and facilities required as per the norms of affiliated University (VTU) and AICTE. The class apart infrastructure that has big and spacious class rooms and laboratories fully equipped with all the modern equipment’s and technology.college ranking in karnatka has improved.

Vemana Institute of Technology (VIT) approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and recognized by Government of Karnataka was started in the heart of Bangalore City in the year 1999. VIT was promoted by Karnataka Reddyjana Sangha (KRJS) with the prime objective of imparting quality Technical Education to the budding aspirants.
In a short span of little more than a decade Vemana Institute of Technology has traversed a long way and occupied a position of eminence among top Technical Institutions in the state of Karnataka. This has been possible only with the dedicated services of our qualified, experienced and committed teaching and non-teaching staff.

Admission Details of VIT Bangalore:-
- Admission to first year B.E. course is made for candidates through CET/COMED-K and Management Quota as per norms specified by Government of Karnataka and VTU from time to time.
- Admission to first year shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects.
- 10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary education) / ICSE (Indian certificate of Secondary education)
- Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.
- The candidate shall have secured not less than 45% of marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology & Electronics. Provided that, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be 40% in optional subjects in case of candidate belongs to SC/ST and OBC. Provided that, the candidate shall have studied and passed English as one of the subject.
