Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET), Pune is affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. MANET was established as a vision-project to empower India as to expand horizon in the maritime field. In today’s highly competitive world, Marine profession has a long history dating back to the historic period when commerce compelled man to seek far away markets. It has evolved with times into a sophisticated and professional work area.Based on the framework drawn by D.G. Shipping, the qualified and experienced staff at MANET strives to impart in-depth knowledge along with a lot of emphasis on practical training, thus customizing the education to the needs of today’s shipping industry.At MANET, We conduct 4 years B.Tech degree course in Marine Engineering as well as 3 years B.Sc.(Nautical Science) course for deck cadets. Both are fully residential courses, approved by Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India.We have also tied-up with a Japanese shipping giant like “ Mitsui OSK Lines Maritime (India) Pvt. Ltd.”, who has partnered with us for imparting professional training to their Junior Engineers, working on board, as well as for placement of MANET cadets.
Complete education, practical training, state-of-art facilities and most of all an environment that breeds professional excellence is what MANET is all about.
